Logistics is probably the most commonly outsourced in supply chain, with Gartner® research finding 100% of respondents outsource either all or some of their logistics activities. Logistics leaders can use this research to create proactive strategies that capitalize on a booming outsourcing sector.

Key findings:

• Outsourcing remains the backbone of logistics operations and an important lever in increasing logistics productivity.
• According to the 2023 Gartner Logistics Outsourcing Survey, logistics expenditure will increase in some instances by more than 10% of the next two years.
• As the race to digitize processes and automate rudimentary logistics activities accelerates, many logistics leaders are apprehensive about making the wrong technological investment.
